We are a landscape design and build practice. The same people survey the ground, draw the garden, set it out on site and plant it — and, where you want it, keep it afterwards.
Principles
Ground before ornament
Levels, drainage, soil and access are resolved first. A garden built on unresolved ground fails quietly, a few seasons later.
Drawn by the people who build it
Design and construction sit in one practice, so intent survives the gap between paper and site.
Materials that age well
Stone, timber, brick and steel are chosen for how they weather and wear, not for how they look on the day they are laid.
Planting read across the year
Structure first, then seasonal layers. A scheme has to hold in February as well as in June.
Honest scope
Where brief and budget disagree, we say so at design stage rather than discovering it halfway through construction.
Care as part of the work
A planted design is a decade-long proposition. We plan for the maintenance it will need, whoever carries it out.
Method
Eight stages, in the order a garden wants them.

Site visit & brief
We walk the site with you, look at levels, soil, drainage, aspect and existing planting, and get clear on how you want to use the space.

Survey & analysis
Measured information and site analysis — what is retained, what constrains the design, and where water and light actually go.

Concept design
Layouts, levels and character explored on paper, with materials and planting direction shown, and reviewed with you before detail begins.

Scope & cost alignment
The design is scoped and priced honestly. Where the brief and budget disagree, we resolve that here rather than during construction.

Construction drawings
Setting out, levels, drainage, structures, services and planting plans, resolved so the garden can be built to the intent it was drawn with.

Build & planting
Enabling works and drainage, then structures and surfaces, then services, soil and planting — sequenced so nothing finished is worked over.

Walkthrough & handover
We walk the finished garden with you, explain how it has been built and what the planting needs while it establishes.
08
Stewardship
Ongoing care, where you want it — the years in which a planted design either matures into the drawing or drifts away from it.
Programme length depends on the site, the scope and the season — we set out expected timing for your project once the scope is defined, rather than quoting a standard duration here.
