Stewardship
Recurring care, not a finished project.
Stewardship is a different kind of work to design and build. It is ongoing horticultural care for a garden that already exists — ours or someone else’s — planned around the growing year and recorded visit by visit.
Visit frequency, scope and cost are set after a site visit. We don’t publish fixed packages, because a mature planted garden and a new commercial forecourt need very different attention.
The work of a stewardship visit

Pruning & training
Timed to species and flowering habit rather than to a calendar slot — hedges, shrubs, climbers and young trees kept to the form the design intended.

Beds & soil
Weeding, cutting back, dividing, mulching and feeding where it is warranted by the planting and the soil, not as routine.
- 03
Lawns & grass areas
Mowing regimes, edges, aeration and repair — including areas managed longer where that is what the scheme calls for.

Seasonal work
The tasks that only make sense at one point in the year: cutting back, leaf clearance, protection, and preparing beds for the next season.

Irrigation checks
Where a system is installed, seasonal checks and adjustment so zones deliver what the planting needs at that point in the year.

Renewal
As a garden matures, some planting outgrows its place. We plan replacements and adjustments rather than letting a scheme drift.
